Mr. Shainer wanted his patio to be a little less harsh on the eyes and skin, and to extend the lifespan of his cushioned outdoor chairs.
Patio shades need to be durable, weighted against the wind, and waterproof. Usually, the customers will also want them at least semi-transparent. For Mr. Shainer’s order, we accomplished this by using a dark gray fiberglass-coated fabric mesh with tracks along the patio roof supports on either end. Along with the weights sewn into the hem, these tracks keep the patio shades from blowing around in the wind.
