Request: Mr. Peling’s proudly presented patio posed a problem. The hurtful halo and high heat of the sun hamstrung his patio’s pleasantness. He proposed the preparation of protective patio shades to preserve the porch.
The patio had two exposed sides facing the morning sun, one of them eighteen feet long, so we had plenty of ground to cover. We showed Mr. Peling a selection of our best and cheapest solar fabrics, and a pale blue vinyl-coated fiberglass weave caught his eye. We set up two sliding vertical shades with single anchoring tracks running along the patio’s roof, with pulleyed drawcords for control.
